MG MG Farina Magnette - Fuel pump location

| Gentlemen (and ladies) - I am in the process of putting together an article detailing the proper location of the OE pumps in as many of the post war MGs (up to 1980) as I can get information on. The information I am looking for is for the cars using a SU electric fuel pump, I need to have pictures of the pump in the original location in the car and in the proper orientation. I am not looking for the perfectly restored car with unblimished paint, but rather a good clear picture of the pump's location and mounting regardless of how the underside of the car may appear. While the ideal picture would be of a disassembled car so the picture is very clearly shows how the pump is mounted, if such a car is not available, a picture taken under the car as best as can be taken will work just fine. I already have pictures of the location and mounting in the ZA and ZB Magnettes and am now looking for the same thing in the Farina Magnettes. | David, I don't check the Farina threads as often as I should - so I just noticed your request. ' Will try to get some pictures of the fuel pump location on my '63 Mk IV in the next few days. Usually, even if the present pump is incorrect and in the wrong place, the correct mounting can be seen. ' Hope to have some info for you soon. Allen |
