I have a 1963 Mk IV here in Harbor Beach Michigan. There is a fellow named Brock Dittrich south of me, near Detroit Michigan who is an avid Farina Saloon enthusiast, but I don't believe he has a car.

I got mine out of Charlottesville VA several years ago when I used to live in that state. As far as it goes, my research leads me to believe mine is one of five or six Mk IVs extant in North America. There may be a few more Mk IIIs, but not many. These are very rare cars, and those who appreciate them are even more rare! If you've seen a "handful" of Mk IIIs and IVs in PA, you've pretty much seen what there is to see in North America. Wayne and Dee Johnson (San Diego, CA) have campaigned their Mk III extensively - but I cannot recall when I've seen another in the past ten years.

If you have one of these cars, preserve it carefully, and please let me know about it! My MK IV is still a basket-case, but once I finish with my '58 ZBV restoration, I hope to get it into driving condition.

Even at this time in history, Farina Magnettes are severely maligned, but WE know different, right? I don't know how long it will take, but eventually these cars will acquire value.
If you have one, keep it, and arrest any further deterioration as much as you can. If you consider yourself a fan of these cars, join CO-OC in the UK! (Cambridge-Oxford Owners Club). http://www.co-oc.org/ I belong and find it delightful that somewhere in the world, people are loving and enjoying these cars.

Cheers,
Allen

I have an early Mark III titled as a 61 I believe. Has the small cut out on the door and "b" post. Very original, original interior and paint, though in poor condition- a true driver. And, I DO drive him (Wallace)during fair weather. I've lowered the front suspension a bit (about 1") and it does help a bit with handling on the twistys. Not a sports car, but a nice MG to take if you have to pack a bit of goods along - and what a trunk!

Oh, do want to clarify my last post. Wallace, my Mk III farina magnette is himself, not bodywise in "poor" conditon...in fact his body is quite solid, one might say svelte! No corrosion problems really. Fortunate. It's just his paint and interior. He has won the Best Beater Award once at the Cleveland Shaker Square British Car Show! I'll see about a pic post later so you can all revel in his magnificence!
